For a jet-lover like me not very interesting, but I would like to see that Patrouille Tranchant ! With 4 ladys !!! Would that be come good ? ;D But anyway, thx for the info Kristof ! FB

WOW , thanks for this info , I thought Bitburg was closed after the American F15 left that baase , but it seems I'm wrong Maybe I'll go

Bitburg is still "very" active . I was there last november and I must say it changed a bit from the good old days. There is an aeroclub active and a planesailing club. Most of the base can be visited. All hangars are accesible because it is an industrial area now. The typical tower has been repainted (shame) and houses a bar-restaurant. You can actualy climb some stairs and go all the way to the control-room where you have an impressive overlook of the base. The visit was a bit nostalgic to me. I have a lot of pictures of it but, since I'm not a computer freak , somebody will have to help me with posting pictures on the web .

Poor sights , this was once a great base but it looks like a ghost-base now , almost looks like some kind of prison
