Air New Zealand announces that it has ordered 8 Boeing 777-200ER's and 2 7E7's, with an option for 42 more Boeings, this order has stil to be aproved by the chairholders.
the 777's wil enter service between 2005 and 2006, for the 7E7 they are the second customer ( after Japanese ANA ) delivery date is not known yet, but once they enter service, the 767's will be faced out.
for the 777 they choose the Rolls-Royce Trent 800 engine, the 7E7 wil come with the RR trent 1000 ; a world premiere.
