There were 3 Tigres on the base: 2 French and 1 German. They are operational with a joint training unit between the French and German Army. The same thing exists in Germany, in Fassberg, but that is a technical shool. Le Luc is the operational shool to learn to use the new helicopter. I must say that the French army personel was very helpfull for us spotters: they prepared a list with all the serials of the helicopters present on the base on that day. That would have been impossible a few years ago. They told us that they had an Australian Tigre as well but he left a couple of weeks ago.

well, its good to hear times change........ in a good way indeed, there seems to be a "acceptance" by the military of the phenomenon "spotter" these day's ( just look at KB )
