Yes, it is getting better But my opinion is that we see more of what we have seen before. The Mig and the Irish PC-9 are ok but the rest is business as usual. The problem (for us spotters) lies in the fact that there is a complete missing of interest to attract nice planes to the airshow. If the Hungarians announce that they are coming with a An-26 as support for the Mig display and that people responsable for organising, have to ask the spotters community if that is a big or small plane, than that tells it all . Last year the organistion was informed well before the airshow that the USS Enterprise was docked in Portsmouth the week-end of the airshow, and they did nothing with it . This year, the week-end of the airshow, there are a few ships docked in Zeebrugge with helicopters on board: Portuguese Lynx, Canadian CH-124, 2 US Navy SH-60 and 2 German Sea Lynxes. I wonder if the organisation have invited them ;D? Do not understand me wrong : I am an absolute fan of the Koksijde Airshow . I visited this show the first time in 1984 and never missed a year. They had their ups and downs but I am still happy that they organise it every year. I"ll be there thursday, friday, maybe sunday and monday.

The problem is how we can let them know about these hints? Like I said a while ago here, the USAF was planning to send an A-10 display team to Europe that weekend. Were the organizers aware of this? It would have been a long shot, but it never hurts to try and would have undoubtedly been a selling point to the general public...

The problem is how we can let them know about these hints? Well, SG Koksijde has good contacts on the base. The info about the USS Enterprise was transfered to SG Koksijde and they in return transferd the info to the organisers. Same thing this year with the ships visiting Zeebrugge.

Well the French PC-6 crew must have liked the taste of the beer last year ;D
Good that they are back. Also the F406 is a nice addition.

Quite amazing what they managed to pull off with such a short preparation time... We should perhaps push that PC-6 pilot aside and have a good beer ourselves too ;D

Anybody here who will be at the fence on friday ? Are there people who are inscripted for the "Spotters Mania"?

I'll be at the West-Aviation Club-side of the base on Friday, no spotters facilities for me. 50 Euro is a bit steep, no? Anyone else?

Same for me but I will be at the other side: Vaart Veurne - Nieuwpoort.

I'll be outside , 50€ is indeed enough money All depends on which side of the field they land. Someone already knows where they will land on Friday? I hope the weather will be fine as they announce thunderstorms for Thursday and Friday
