On the 2nd August , an Air France A340-300 (almost)crashed at Toronto , Canada. The aircraft went of the runway and was immediately on fire. All 297 passengers and the crew of 12 survived the crash They think the thunder hit the aircraft , at the moment the aircraft landed there was a very heavy storm and all traffic on the ground was already stopped , the A340 still got permission to land and seconds before it touched down the lights inside the plane went out and the pilots lost control on the Airbus once he was on the ground , they had maybe a faillure of the electronics due the hit by a thunder, About 40 passengers including the pilot and a 9 months old baby suffered minor injuries. The plane came from Charles de Gaulle and the tail was almost immediately on fire , the plane stopped 200 meters from the end of the runway. SOURCE : France 2 news

those where VERY lucky people i'm very happy for once a major incident turns out with no fatal casualty, but it must have been a unbelievable scary moment for all who was on-board off F-GLZQ thumbs-up for the crew off that 340, they managed to get everybody out in time
